Our research aims at new medical applications based on Robotic technology. Robotic technology includes many elements – mechanism, sensor, control, system integration and etc. We study about these elements to realize further effective medical applications.

2026.4.30 Our laboratory’s rehabilitation robot development project targeting emerging countries has received the National Academy of Medicine Healthy Longevity Catalyst Innovator (Catalyst Award) from the National Academy of Medicine and Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development.
2026.4.23 Mr. Takeshi Kido from our laboratory received the Young Excellent Presentation Fellow Award for his presentation at the ICMDT 2025 / the 24th Machine Design and Tribology Division Conference of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers.
2026.4.16 The status of ISS operations for the joint research project with JAXA and the University of Tokyo has been updated.
2026.3.9 Part of the progress of our joint research with JAXA and the U. Tokyo has been made public. Work on the ISS is currently underway.
